Beitou Thermal Valley

 

Beitou is known for its hot springs and high-class hotels.  This is a place where the public can enjoy the hot spring waters for free (kind of).

BEITOU DISTRICT —The reason I say kind of is because all you can really do at this place is look.  However there is a public bath nearby where people can use the hot springs for quite cheap.  As per Taiwanese culture though, there are a bunch if weird and annoying rules.  However if you're willing to trek even further there's a free hot spring park called Fuxing Hot Foot Spa where you can dip you feet in not too far away.
