San He Night Market

 

This is a pretty unique night market in the 'hood' of Taipei.

SANCHONG DISTRICT —This is the first night market in Taiwan that I've ever seen a poker table at.  I guess it makes sense as Sanchong is supposedly one of the biggest gang areas in Taiwan.  It's still pretty safe here though so I recommend checking this market out for sure.  This spot is even more grimy than most night markets, but also nice in its own way.

While you can't really visit these two places at the same time, it's worth noting that this night market is right next to Taiwan's famous Scooter Waterfall.  Other places nearby worth visiting are Dadaocheng and Ximen Shopping Area.
